About this service

Fresh sealant makes a bathroom or kitchen look new again and stops water getting where it shouldn't. A basin starts from £65 and I can do full bath and shower enclosures. Removing and cleaning off old sealant is the most time-consuming part, so sealing a new installation is usually the more cost-effective job.

What's involved in bathroom and kitchen resealing

Cut out and remove all the old sealant
Clean and dry the joint and treat any mould
Apply new sealant in a neat, even line
Tell you how long to leave it before using the bath or shower

What can go wrong

Sealing over old, mouldy sealant doesn't stick and looks worse within weeks
A gap in the seal lets water get behind tiles or under the bath, which can cause damp and damage below
Sealing a bath while it's empty can split the seal the first time it's filled
